Jovan Pantelic

Research Collaborator

Jovan is an Assistant Professional Researcher at the Center for Built Environment at the University of California Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Jovan’s research focuses on healthy and energy-efficient buildings. His current research interests include natural and mechanical ventilation, Internet of Things (IoT) indoor and outdoor air quality sensing, airborne infection transmission and control, energy-efficient cooling, and dehumidification technologies. 

Jovan worked on: developing personalized ventilation air terminal devices, the investigation of airborne modes of influenza transmission, development of bioaerosol samplers, investigation of ventilation systems capability to mitigate airborne transmission, use of IoT sensors for simultaneous air quality improvement and energy savings. 

Jovan has authored and co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and, for his work in 2016, received Ralph-Nevins award from ASHRAE.
